preserving the atmosphere
The atmosphere provides a critical protection for life on earth to exist. It is our closest sphere and we directly impact the "health" of it. Typical food industry retailers, rely on products to travel long distances, depend on factory farming for meat and grain, and waste enormous amounts of energy that is rooted in fossil fuel. Our business aim's to reduce pollution in the atmosphere caused by trucking or flying in foods from distances. By reducing or completely eliminating our food miles we are effectively chipping away at our industry's massive carbon foot print. If we equally diminish our industry's investment in factory farming, we are aiding the decrease in methane being pumped into the atmosphere.
preserving the biosphere
The biosphere harbors all life on planet earth! But with our prevailing culture of over-consumption and exhausting almost all productive land available on earth, it is important the Food Industry is proactive in using less land and green, sustainable resources. A detriment to the biosphere is factory farming, with over "8 million animals being killed each hour." this diminishes the biosphere greatly and adds to our culture of over consumption. One way Super Foods can resolve this issue is by not relying on factory farming at all, but instead on local farms, located in nearby counties or states, and by selling less meat than the average Food Retailer.
These two spheres are extremely important if humans and nature are going to survive harmoniously.
